Cover is available for the activities shown below provided:
Category C - extreme activities
- You follow the safety guidelines for the activity concerned and use any appropriate and recommended safety equipment;
- The activity is not part of a competition or tournament; and you are not participating on a professional basis
All category A + B, as well as; Adventure racing, Alpine mountain biking, American football, Black water
rafting, BMX riding - stunt / obstacle, Bouldering, Bridge swinging, Canoeing and kayaking - Grade 4 or 5
Rivers, Cascading, Caving / pot holing, Climbing (up to 4,000 metres using guides and ropes), Diving
(high diving), Endurance tests, Flying as a pilot or trainee pilot in a private aircraft or helicopter,
Football - American, Glacier skiing, Gliding, Gorge scrambling, Gorge swinging / canyon swinging, Gorge
walking, Hang gliding, Harness racing, High diving (in excess of 5 metres), Kayaking and canoeing - Grade
4 or 5 Rivers, Kloofing, Micro-lighting, Ostrich riding, Parachute jumping (static line), Paragliding, Pot
holing, Rap jumping, River bugging, Rock climbing, Rugby League, Rugby Sevens, Rugby Union, Sky diving, Via
ferrata, Water ski jumping and White water canoeing / rafting (Grade 4 or 5) - plus Heli-skiing and Ice
hockey if you have additional winter sports cover.
Category B - high risk activities
All category A, as well as; Abseiling, Amateur athletics, Assault courses, Bamboo rafting, Battle re-enactment,
Body flying / Wind tunnel flying, Canoeing and Kayaking – Grade 3 Rivers, Canopy / Tree top walking (using ropes),
Camel riding, Cave tubing / river tubing, Climbing (indoor), Cycle touring, Deep sea fishing, Dry slope skiing /
boarding, Dune / wadi bashing, Equestrian events, Fell running, Fencing, Fives, Football / soccer, Gaelic football,
Go-karting, Gymnastics, Hiking (4,000 - 5,000 metres), Hockey, Horse grooms, Horse riding (not polo, jumping or
hunting), Hurling, Hydro speeding, Judo, Karate, Kendo, Kite buggying, Kite surfing (over land), Kite surfing
(over water), Lacrosse, Marathon running, Martial arts, Modern pentathlon, Mountain boarding, Mud buggying,
Orienteering, Parachute jumping (tandem), Parapenting, Parascending (over land), Rock scrambling, Roller hockey,
Safari (with guns), Sand boarding, Sand dune surfing / skiing, Scrambling, Scuba diving (30 - 50 metres depth if

Grade 3) and Zorbing - plus Cat skiing / boarding, Glacier skiing, Ice Climbing, Kite skiing, Kite snowboarding,
Ski randonee, Ski touring, Ski-dooing, Snow Mobiling and Speed skating if you have winter sports insurance added
to your policy.
Category A - medium risk activities
Canoeing and kayaking - Grade 2 Rivers, Charity work (no manual work), Education work (not qualified as a teacher),
Fruit picking, Iron man (amateur), Kayaking and canoeing - Grade 2 Rivers, Lifeguards (non beach), Racketball,
Rackets, Squash / rackets, Teacher (not qualified) and Vegetable picking.
