We will pay up to the amount shown in the table of benefits for extra kennel or cattery
fees if you are hospitalised due to an accident or illness that is covered under section
B1 (Medical and other expenses outside of the United Kingdom), which results in a delay
to your planned return journey to the United Kingdom of more than 24 hours, or if your
final booked return international journey by aircraft, sea vessel, coach or train is
delayed for more than 24 hours due to poor weather conditions, a strike, industrial action
or mechanical breakdown.
Please note: In the event you should need to submit a claim due to a delay in your return travel due to transport failure, you must get written confirmation from the appropriate transport company or authority stating the reason for the delay and how long the delay lasted.
You must keep all receipts for the extra kennel or cattery fees you pay.
