Travel with confidence knowing pregnancy is covered as standard up to 32 weeks (reduced to 24 weeks for multiple pregnancy, such as twins or triplets).
If you're suffering from pregnancy related complications**, or are looking to travel after 32 weeks (reduced to 24 weeks for a multiple pregnancy)*, additional terms apply, see below for more details.
Pregnancy is not considered a medical condition so you don't need to declare it on your policy, though you'll still need to declare any other pre-existing medical conditions you suffer from. We understand travelling while pregnant can be complicated, so you can view our helpful guide to travelling while pregnant by clicking here.
Please note that even where our policies provide full cover, your airline may have stricter rules. For example many airlines will not allow you to travel after 28 weeks without a fit-to-fly letter from your doctor or midwife, or if you have a multiple pregnancy.
Key policy benefits
If you travel after 32 weeks (24 weeks for a multiple pregnancy) you will not be covered for a standard or premature birth under our policies. Other pregnancy complications will be considered, providing you hold a fit-to-fly letter.
**Existing Pregnancy ComplicationsIf you have pregnancy-related complications when you purchase your policy, you can still be insured. However, you will need a fit-to-fly letter from your doctor.
Please note that cancellation claims relating to a pregnancy complication that was known at the time of purchasing your policy may not be covered. Emergency medical expenses abroad for pregnancy-related complications remain covered, subject to the policy terms and conditions.
